A native of Willingboro, New Jersey (where he attended the same high school as Olympic track-and-field star Carl Lewis), Steve Janas is co-owner of the New Jersey-based production company Reel Stuff Entertainment. As a screenwriter, Steve co-wrote the screenplay for &quot;The Long Home,&quot; starring and directed by James Franco, which wrapped production in May of 2015. With Smartshoot, Steve has produced more than 1,300 projects since 2005, and has become one of the company's best-reviewed filmmaker/creatives. Steve has a long list of credits, including an original series – Living Tomorrow – for The Discovery Channel, and content for a client list that includes The Travel Channel, LexisNexis, AOL, Yelp, YP.com and many others. Steve was also a producer of the television series The Red Carpet on Showtime Networks, as well as a shooter, editor and Associate Producer of the feature-length music documentary Better Living Through Circuitry, which was the opening-night selection of the 1999 Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. In addition, Steve has worked extensively with James Franco's Rabbit Bandini productions, having shot and edited material for several of their DVD releases, edited the hour-long documentary &quot;Mitzi&quot; - about James and his close relationship with his grandmother - and has completed several screenplays for them.
