Classically trained in media production, Robert Harpin has taken his own road to a career in photography. Out of school he worked for Fox News national in New York before realizing that working in news media was not his true passion. In pursuit of this passion Robert Harpin left Fox News to develop his photography skills. Throughout the next year he worked as a freelance photographer trying his hand at fashion, product, travel, portrait and nightlife photography. This variety of disciplines allowed him to focus in on his true skills as a photographer. The outcome was a certain proficiency for capturing stunning candid photos of the people around him. He has also developed into a strong product and portrait photographer over years of freelance work. While shooting as the photographer for Squirl House, a self started company providing photo and video services, Robert was able to develop a unique style as well as an impressive client list. He has worked with companies such as Staple, Nantucket Bags, Maasai Collections, Sustainable Indulgence, Ice Air, Rony's Photobooth and many more. Within his time in the nightlife industry Robert has worked for music blogs such as Your EDM, Earmilk, This Song Slaps and Casulin. He has photographed events such as Size in the Park, Sensation White and Armin Only Intense at world famous venues such as Webster Hall, Pacha New York, Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden. Robert has now gone on to work full time at OppenheimerFunds where among other video responsibilities he is in charge of headshots and event photos for the firm. Although I work full time I also am open to shooting events and product shots among other things.
