Pietro Cinieri was born in Garbagnate Milanese (MI) on 17/07/1988. At the age of 18 he began his artistic career in music by studying drums. He follows masterclasses with world famous drummers and plays in several bands playing around Italy. He also shares the stage with important acts, including Marlene Kuntz, Zen Circus and Boom Da Bash, until he plays at MEI in Faenza. Always enthusiastic about cinema, in 2010 he starts his career as a photographer for events and model shootings. In 2012 he finds himself as a still photographer on the set of an Apulian web series, which will lead him to deepen this industry by starting to work as director and cinematographer. He then founded the small ArtemikaStudio production house, directing numerous music videos and collaborating with Mietta, Sud Sound System and Orchestra Mancina. In 2015, he directs his first zero-budget movie, a fan movie written by author and illustrator Alessia Coppola (Newton Compton, HarperCollins) and inspired by James O'Barr's "The Crow" comic book. The idea came from wanting to celebrate O'Barr's talent and to remember Brandon Lee. The film, premiered at the Cartoomics in Milan, is a fairly success between the fans of "The Crow", reaching in no time 200,000 views on Youtube. He has won numerous national and international awards as best director and best fan movie, winning his first statue at FRIGHT NIGHT FILM FESTIVAL (USA) as best foreign fan movie. He will then bring the fan movie in "cosplay" show events across Italy, sharing stages with names like Gabriele Mainetti, Maurizio Merluzzo, Immanuel Casto, Giorgio Vanni, Cristina D'Avena, Giovanni Muciaccia and others. He continues his career as a director of photography for other short films and in 2015 ArtemikaStudio changes name into Oniris Pictures, devoting exclusively to the world of indie cinema. In 2016 he directed the “Metropolitan Legends” web series, based on metropolitan legends and shot entirely in the province of Lecce. In the same year he took part as director of photography in the short film "Un Certo Olivier Bécaille" by his friend, director and actor Alessandro Masella. The short wins numerous awards, and there is a strong complicity the two directors, so to direct their first horror short film "The Curse of the Crying Child", which sees the participation of well known indie cinema faces. In 2017 he worked as a Backstage Video Operator on the set of "Anche senza di te" directed by Francesco Bonelli, produced by Hermes Film / Polifemo, distributed by Sun Film Group and with the participation of Nicolas Vaporidis, Myriam Catania, Matteo Branciamore and Alessio Sakara . Great is the wait for the duo Cinieri / Masella who in January 2018 will fly to Hollywood to take part in their first red carpet and retire the award as the best short foreigner with "Un certo Olivier Bécaille" at the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival. Currently the duo is working on their first movie that will see a distribution in the Italian cinemas.
