I was born in Fayetteville, NC, and later moved to Brooklyn, NY and then back down South to Virginia. Through the years I was able to learn about various cultures and different kinds of food because my Mother and Father would travel and then my mom would come home and mimic some of the dishes she tasted abroad. This is part of the reason why I'm so interested in photographing images of food from around the world and across the Country. My Father carried his 35mm Canon with him on all his travels, and gave it to me when I went to college. I knew photography would be my hobby but I didn't know that it could be my career. For over 20 years I've been photographing people, events including parties, weddings, track meets, etc.... I've met wonderful people from all walks of life working as a photographer. A few years ago while working for Prevention magazine special interest publications, I became interested in food photography and was able to produce various food shoots. I hope to one day travel the world and the country photographing people of all walks of life and foods from various cultures. In the meantime, while I raise my children, I stay local hoping to book exciting fun shoots that won't take me too far from home.
