Hi, my name is Jose Soriano, I am a Vancouver photographer, my main work is in the commercial and editorial field even though I have worked in many different areas. Although you may have seen some of my work over the years, you may not have connected it to me. That is about to change. Thanks to my creative artistry, my work is garnering more attention than ever before, as I bring a unique perspective to everyday images that really make these images stand. I was born in Venezuela and raised there with an Italian heritage. My love of art began in my childhood, with photography being my main passion, although I opted to pursue a degree in computer engineering when I got older. Now, I'm focusing on my true love and pull from many areas when coming up with concepts for my work. I love to bike, hike, and camp, and I also play trumpet, as this gives me another way to express myself through the arts. I actually consider my music to be a form of therapy. Photography is about feelings, and I take this into account with each project I complete. My goal is to provide an experience, not simply a photo, and the experience is different for each client. I truly believe this is what makes my work stand out. When I'm conducting a shoot, my entire focus is on that shoot. I'm totally in the moment. I spend time getting to know my clients, as I truly believe this adds to the shoot and the images captured. My work has now been featured in several Calgary's Magazines as Avenue, Canadian Immigrant, Reader's Digest Canada and some local newspapers. This is only one place where my work has been featured, and there are numerous others. This is just what a piece of what makes me one of the best Vancouver photographers.
