GAUGE THEORY CREATIVE is a multimedia production company founded by filmmaker Tom Glynn. Our expertise is crafting the subtle but potent relationship between image and viewer. Our focus is on our clients; we learn about you and your industry so we can help you articulate your media goals within context of larger business strategy. Our task is to manufacture value; we combine storytelling, technology and imagery to create value-driven relationships between people and your brand. TOM GLYNN was raised in Indiana and is a proud graduate of the inaugural class of the Indiana Academy (Hogwarts for Hoosiers). Tom earned a BA in Physics from Amherst College before moving to New York to pursue film and photography. He received an MFA from Columbia University where he and Pulitzer Prize winning classmate Ayad Akhtar wrote and directed two award-winning shorts films. Tom and Ayad teamed up with Joseph Costello to make the critically acclaimed feature film The War Within (Magnolia 2005). During this time Tom began working for Tiffany & Co., producing internal videos on new product launches, interactive sales training and more. The experience led to producing videos for companies like Vanity Fair Magazine, Marubeni America Corp., and nonprofits like Literacy, Inc. in NYC. In 2006 Tom moved to Santa Monica, CA and began producing video and photography for Industrie, Australia's largest menswear brand, now a global company with stores in the UK, US, South Africa and New Zealand. In 2011 Tom founded his own production company, working out of Los Angeles, New York and Australia. Current clients include MAGIC Market Week, the largest fashion trade show in North America, Alial Fital in association with Bo Van Pelt and the PGA Tour, Air Liquide, the HAMMER Museum, Indie Kids and more. Feature film projects include Automotive, released in 2014, and two documentaries currently in development. Tom lives with his wife and three children in Santa Monica.
