I’m a young videomaker who is always looking for work in film/video. I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art & Design in May 2012 and have since stayed active in the field of video production in a variety of ways. I currently work as a video editing technician in the Motion Pictures and Television department at Academy of Art University assisting students with software programs such as Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and After Effects. I freelance when I’m not working at the Academy, regularly shooting with Canon DSLRs and editing the footage. For the last two years, I have been working on a series of San Francisco neighborhood video portraits capturing the city’s architecture and landmarks within the context of its unique geography. This project combines my love of San Francisco with my abilities to experiment and push the boundaries of the medium. Furthermore, my neighborhood portraits allow me to share my experience of San Francisco with others around me. I love video as an artistic medium, but also as a technology. I often research current dslr/cinema cameras on the market and watch screen test comparisons, which give me a good idea of why certain cameras may be better than others for specific projects. I also put a lot of emphasis on knowing the strengths and limitations of the camera being used in order to produce the best videos and images possible. With my technical skills in video editing/shooting, and my knowledge of current technological trends, I can succeed as a self starter as well as collaborate with creative professionals.
