Chris Renteria has produced and directed films focusing on social and environmental challenges and the brilliant people at the center advocating for change. Magnolia Pictures’ WHOSE STREETS? by Sabaah Folayan was Renteria’s first foray as a producer into feature-length documentary. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017 and was acquired by Magnolia Pictures with a wide theatrical release in North America and Canada. Most recently, Whose Streets? was nominated for a 2019 Peabody Award. His work has been nominated for a Webby Award and featured by Paramount Networks, CNN, Hearst TV, The Food Network, and PBS/POV. His work has been published by numerous websites; he has held solo and group exhibitions across the country and is alumni to dozens of acclaimed film festivals worldwide.
