Alexander Barrymore is a versatile photographer with 15 years professional experience in the industry. He studied photography in Geneva, and graduated to working as a press photographer for Reuters International News Agency with the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. During this period, he traveled the world which brought him to work for Doctors Without Borders and later exhibit his work on children at the UN. Additionally, he presented a series of portraits for Belle Idée mental health hospital in Geneva, which was later on exhibition in Paris. Alex moved to New York City in 2005 to work freelance as assistant to high end photographers like Michel Comte. He continued to work internationally in Geneva and Paris, under photographer Adam Savitch, for brands like Piaget and Chanel. Alex opened his own studio in Brooklyn where he eventually began to work in fashion, shooting for both celebrity clientele and fashion designer Joseph Abboud. In 2012, he was hired by the W Diamond Group as lead photographer for brands like Hickey Freeman and Hart Schaffner Marx. Alex continues to develop his art in every aspect of the industry. Fluent in both English and French, and with expertise in all areas of digital and traditional film development, his reach is unlimited.
